Change the values in the forms above to change your night light lithophane design! When you change values, the image under "your design" will change to show you how the new night light lithophane looks. Changing lithophane resolution does not change the geometry of your design, but does change the quality of the image that is generated. The lithophane resolution value determines the distance between unique thickness values, so a value of 0.3 would mean that there are 0.3mm between features on your lithophane image. Correct Slot Diameter and Adapter Thickness are necessary to ensure that your night light lithophane is compatible with your night light. The Slot Diameter determines the width of lithophane's slot that is meant to slide into your night light. The Adapter Thickness needs to make the slot fit snugly onto the night light. I have made the default dimensions compatible with the night light that is available here
The Image Arc Angle determines the curvature of your night light. A small Image Arc Angle will make your lithophane be very flat, but will also push the lithophane image very far away from the night light and will require that you increase the Center of Curvature Shift. The Center of Curvature Shift moves the lithophane's center of curvature so that is possible to have a long radius (flat) lithophane image while keeping the lithophane image near the light source. The Lithophane Height is the main sizing metric for the night light lithophane, and it corresponds to the height of the lithophane image. I hope you enjoy this tool.
